What’s New on Parler: Stories, Lounges, Creator Tools & Platform Improvements
A development update, July 2026
Last month we told you Stories sharing and expanded Lounge features were coming. They are here. Over the past few weeks, we shipped a faster way to put anything you love into your Story, gave Lounge owners real control over who finds and joins their community, and opened Creator Studio to every creator on Parler. Here is what is new, what is better, and what is fixed across Parler and Parler Play.
Share anything to your Story
Your Story is now the quickest way to pass something along. Open the menu on any post and share it straight to your Story, no screenshots and no copied links. Once you are there, the rest of the experience got sharper too. Usernames and hashtags you type into a story caption are now tappable, so a mention actually goes somewhere and a hashtag pulls up the conversation around it. Mentioning someone sends them a notification, so credit lands where it belongs. Video stories now keep everything you put on them. The text, stickers, and drawings you add before publishing stay exactly where you placed them, and the story viewer shows who posted, when they posted, and their verification badge right up front.
Private and Hidden Lounges are live
Lounges are now yours to run the way you want. Private and Hidden Lounges are live on both mobile and web, so a Lounge can be open to everyone, open by request, or invisible to anyone who was not invited. Owners approve who comes in. The rest of the joining experience caught up with it. You can withdraw a join request you no longer want pending, decline an invitation from the invitation page instead of leaving it sitting there, and Lounge Discover now shows you communities you have not joined yet rather than the ones you are already in.
Creator Studio is open to every creator
Creator Studio is out of early access and available to all creators on Parler, with a cleaner Overview that gives you a straight read on how your content is performing. Creator Studio gives creators a dedicated place to track content performance and better understand how their audience is engaging. This is the foundation we are building the rest of the creator toolkit on, and there is a lot more coming to it. Together, these updates give people more ways to share what interests them, build communities around it, and understand how the content they create is performing.
Improvements & Fixes
Building the best possible experience matters as much to us as building new things, and a lot of this cycle went into smaller additions and the details you notice while using Parler, even if they never make the headline. Here is what else landed alongside the work above:
- A Share option now sits directly on profile pages, so passing along a creator takes one tap.
- Creator Burst feeds put a creator's short videos together in one place, with caching fixes behind them.
- Deleting a post finishes right away rather than hanging for several seconds.
- Ads now respect the viewer's own time zone, so time-sensitive campaigns land when they are supposed to.
- Account setup and sign in are smoother end-to-end.
- The web story viewer no longer opens to a black screen.
- Stories no longer publish with an empty preview image.
- Turning off replies on a story is now respected everywhere.
- The Everyone audience option is correctly unavailable when a private account posts a story.
- Story replies now confirm with a toast so you know the message actually sent.
- Profile picture changes show up across Parler immediately instead of briefly reverting to your old photo.
- Lounge notifications now open the screen you expected when you tap them.
- Lounge Discover and Trending no longer empty out after you join the top featured communities.
- Declining and withdrawing Lounge invitations and requests both work from where you would look for them.
- Lounge moderators can open the Reports queue, not just owners and admins.
- Reposted quote cards keep the commentary you wrote.
- Deleting a conversation keeps it cleared, even after the other person sends something new.
- Logged-out visitors now get a sign in prompt when they tap Mute instead of nothing happening.
Trust & Safety
Private and Hidden Lounges give community owners direct control over who can find and join their space, and every join request now runs through the owner. Deleting your account now leaves a 30-day window before anything is permanently removed, so an accidental or reconsidered deletion does not immediately become permanent. We also continued tightening automated moderation coverage across Lounges and DMs, and expanded the tools our moderation team uses to act on reports quickly.
